<p>When logged in and before opening PuTTY open a cmdtool window.</p>
<p>cd /dev</p>
<p>sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyUSB0</p>
<p>then you should be able to run PuTTY.</p>

<p>Tried this when we got in this morning and successfully changed the permissions for /dev/ttyUSB0, but made no difference to the error received when opening the PuTTY session, which was:</p>
<p> PuTTy Fatal Error</p>
<p> Unable to open connection to:</p>
<p> Unable to open serial port.</p> |
