- Of the two 500 micron detectors from the GELINA setup one has broken bond wires and the other does not show a normal VI response to bias see attachment 1
- The response appears to be ohmic
- Instead the two 1000 micron W1 detectors were mounted onto the stand
- Both of these bias nicely and show appropriate leakage currents - attachment 2
- The photodiode has been tested and we see the noise decrease as we apply bias
- This is our only indication it is working at at its nominal -30V the detector draws 0.00uA of leakage current
- The DAQ has been fully setup with 3 ADC modules which is enough for both W1 detectors and the photodiode
- Nominal pulse peak widths are around 20keV for all channels
- This is without any efforts to ground preamps to amplifiers
- One of the preamps we brought out has had two capacitors knocked off it. We have replaced this with a preamp taken from the GELINA chamber.
- This preamp is configured with the pins reversed so will require the cable running to the detector to be reversed when we setup the experiment
- We are bringing this preamp back to be repaired by the electronics workshop also
- The TDC has also been setup for all channels of the W1 detector.
Will move this to the mattermost channel once setup |
