Subject: Beam Plan for Miguel and Alberto (ISOLDE beam operators)
Presently, we are scheduled for 9 days:
  Nov 26-28 are three (3) days nominally for beam development
  Nov 29-Dec 4 are six (6) days nominally for physics data taking
  Dec 5-6: Shutdowns and important tests are planned by ISOLDE team
  Dec 7th - power gets shut off to ISOLDE

==Run Plan==
1 day for ion source and 2.8 MeV/u beam dev
1 day for High E_cm statistics, using the 2.8 MeV/u beam with 6 um Ti foil. Stop when we are happy with the number of counts we've gotten.
1 day for 1.9 MeV/u energy beam dev (for use with mid E_cm)
1.5 days for Mid E_cm statistics, using the 1.9 MeV/u beam with 3um Ti foil. Stop when we are happy with the number of counts we've gotten.
(Switch back to 2.8 MeV/u beam, takes under 1 hour)
4.5 days for Low E_cm (as long as we can), using 2.8 MeV/u beam and 12.5 um Al foil.
Time must be allocated for He runs and background Ar / empty runs. Ratios of background to reaction runs can be decided depending on the number of counts we see, and also dependent on if we need RP to change gas in the cell.

If 1.9 MeV/u proves too challenging, we may consider to switch to 2.2 MeV/u instead, TBD during machine time.

Over the weekend of 1-2 Dec we cannot change the beam (no operators) nor our target (no RP), so it is crucial we start the low E_cm run before then.

If 1.9 MeV/u beam energy is slightly different that's fine, however it would be preferable if the 2.8 MeV/u beam energy was no lower, especially for the low E_cm run.
