DAQ configuration - attachments 1-9
Setting up CAEN V767 TDC
Note that to perform timing with the leading edge of the input logic signals
you need to select `rising edge' timing.
The following procedure for changing CAEN V767 settings _reliably_ appears
to work:
1) Halt data acquisition
2) From MIDAS Main Menu window select VME Module Control -> CAEN V767
3) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window _de-select_ -> Act on ALL
Modules?
4) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window select the first TDC module
whose setting you wish to change
5) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window select Expert -> Disable Auto Load
6) Change CAEN V767 module settings as required
7) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window select Expert -> Save User
Configuration
8) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window select Expert -> Enable Auto Load
9) Repeat steps 4-8 for any other CAEN V767 TDC modules whose settings you
wish to change
10) From CAEN V767 TDC Setup & Monitor window select Save Setup
11) From MIDAS Data Acquisition Experiment Control window select Setup ->
Setup Everything
12) If you reboot the VME PowerPC CPU do NOT forget to set the TDC(s) in
common stop mode
From MIDAS Data Acquisition Experiment Control window select Advanced ->
Configuration/Test/Debug Frame and confirm the request.
Settings should be:
TDC Mode: Common Stop
TDC Hit Option: all
TDC Referemce: 0 (usually)
