dE detector is mounted onto the back side of the shielding (attached photo: dE_position.JPG)

The detector consists of 26 strips. In this setup, the detector is devided into 2 parts corresponding to 2 readout channels. Each part consists of 13 strips joint together.

Output signal from a high gain channel of preamplifier with 137Cs source is shown in attachment 137CsTest_ac.JPG.;

The white noise is about 2 mV for high gain mode.

We will switch to low gain mode during the experiment.

* note:there is a 200 mV offset due to the characteristic of the preamplifier (see attachment dc.JPG)

New calibration of F11 plastic

We decided to have both a low gain and a high gain
for F11 plastic dividing the signal from the TFA
with a "T" and using in one branch a 20db attenuator (reduction by 10)
and sending to two different DACQ channels.
The gain of the TFA was also reduced to x2

We've turned on the High Voltage for the D4 Clover up to ~ 1.5 kV.
There is no current (0.0 uA) observed in all the channels (crystals) of this clover while the High Voltage is
turning up.
We have turned down the HV after that.
We've checked that the NIM crate power supply for the preamp is On and the HV and peamplifier connections for
this Clover are Ok.
