Check of calibrations and rates for neutron detectors with Conf File 161107Conf_BrikenFull.xlsx Measurement 161122_2208_003.root has been used to check the calibrations and counting rates in the BRIKEN detector. Condition of the measurement: 252Cf at 22.5cm from moderator, opposite sede from AIDA RESULTS Calibrations factors: Calibrations of the neutron detectors are reasonable in the current conditions. A check detector by detector (see attached file) shows that the full peak for most of the counters is around 764keV. Only 3 counters are shifted more than 10keV: He134 741.901 He135 750.312 He140 748.587 The impact on the counting rates would not be serious. Counting rates (n/pulser): ######################################### Total neutron rate: 1516.28 ######################################### BY RING: ######################################### R1 359.057 R2 222.997 R3 386.299 R4 253.833 R5 143.434 R6 90.6357 R7 60.025 The total current counting rate is lower than rate obtained in Oct 12th (total 1550.91 n/pulser). The difference is due mainly to a decrease in the counting rates for rings 1 to 4.

19:00 We've turned on the High Voltage for the D4 Clover up to ~ 1.5 kV. There is no current (0.0 uA) observed in all the channels (crystals) of this clover while the High Voltage is turning up. We have turned down the HV after that. We've checked that the NIM crate power supply for the preamp is On and the HV and peamplifier connections for this Clover are Ok.
