Tue May 4 21:26:43 2021, OH, Alpha run 10x
|
22:26 Tape server set up to write to directory May21
DAQ stopped
Slow comparator set to 0x64 for all FEE64 and an ASIC check performed
|
Mon Nov 4 08:48:18 2019, NH, Alpha Status 04.11.2019
|
Alpha run has been running over the weekend. Stats looking positive with notable exception that aida10 is not sending much data. Will attempt a powercycle.
Temperatures and Leakage Currents very good to excellent
Noted that the slow rate of aida10 seems to be slowing down the rate data is sent to tape - perhaps being buffered until an ADC event arrives? |
Thu Oct 31 17:13:54 2019, NH, Alpha Run
|
Beginning Alpha run
Thresholds set to 100 (LEC/Slow) 255 (LEC/Fast) 2 (HEC)
|
Sat Feb 29 10:56:38 2020, NH, Alpha Hit Pattern
|
Circa 700 GB of data
A few channels in DSSD 1 missing? Otherwise seems OK |
Thu Apr 28 18:45:09 2022, NH, Alpha Background Run
|
Runs are in /TapeData/BGAPR22 located on 8TB disk "SecondDrive" (N.B. 2A experiment is using ThirdDrive)
Old runs and test files were removed from disk. Left is an unknown S481 folder (fibre implant test?) and Patrick

Tue Nov 12 14:10:18 2019, NH, OH, CA, Aida10 Unusual Pulser Peak
|
aida10 (no alpha rate recorded) has a strange pulser peak - looks like double peak?
Pulser terminator checked and OK...
All others "OK" but noise quite bad (see previous entry) |
Wed Nov 13 01:54:00 2019, TD, Aida10 Unusual Pulser Peak
|
Double peaking normally indicates periodic baseline variations with period comparable to shaping time

Tue Apr 23 10:52:39 2024, PP, Aida02 down and back
|
We lost aida02 at about 11:25 again. Nick fixed it about 11:50.
It is now back in the DAQ. |
Fri Aug 16 15:09:05 2019, NH, Aida Waves (All FEEs) 12x
|
Included waves for all 12 FEEs
FEES 1, 5, 9 all show this HF noise on it, and are all located at the top of the AIDA mount.
Connections: HV from DSSD (-ve) is in FEE9 |
Fri Aug 9 12:33:14 2019, NH, Aida Test 9/8/19 - FEES 1-6
|
The water issue has been resolved - merely incorrect temperature guages (replaced). Water is 20 C as required.
S4 conditions at 13:12 CEST
26.5 C / 47.2 % / Td = 14.3 C |
Fri Jun 28 15:05:49 2019, NH, Aida 28/6/2019 - WATER OFF
|
The humidity sensor hasn't reported humdities under 90% yet. In order to try and help dry the pipes and turn AIDA the water has been turned off the
weekend.
Sunday temperatures might reach 40 C which means it may struggle anyway. |
Mon Jul 8 16:02:52 2019, NH, PJCS, Aida 28/6/2019 - WATER OFF
|
It occurs to to wonder if there is now water inside the modules. If the metal of the cooling plates is damp on the outside then it is safe to assume
there is water on the inside too . Can I suggest that one of the modules is dismounted, disassembled and checked?
