There appear to be issues with Shahab's caenlogging program. It crashes occasionally, with an error indicating the number of columns in the terminal is incorrect. We will have to ask Shahab.

For now

1. Start the caen_screen.sh script on nnrp1 (aka CARMEMotorsPi -  why was it renamed? It should stay as CARMEMotorsPi to avoid duplicate names).

This starts connect to the caen power module via TTY inside a screen called caenhv. Currently on desktop 1

2. On nnrpi1, start the caenlogging program --settings caenlogger_settings_gsi.toml

3. On carme-gsi, in ~/Programs/caenlogger start the gnuplot script

If the caenlogger script crashes, restart it on the second terminal

More investigations required on the crash.

There was some tidying up of the CRYRING hall in advance of this week's EC evaluation meeting at GSI.

CARME equipment stored in central area of the CRYRING hall has been moved to the roof storage area near rooms 2.033/4 and a cupboard near the main entrance to the CRYRING
hall - attachments 1-2.

Please contact Davide Racano for further information.

  663   Sat Apr 5 16:15:04 2025 TDFEE64 power interlock installed
Water flow and dew point sensors have been installed on the outlet and inlet cooling water manifolds respectively.

Outputs indicating good water flow and ambient temperature above the dew point are connected via an interlock box (constructed by Peter Black)
to the USB-controlled ac mains relay which provides remote control of ac mains power to the AIDA FEE64 PSUs.

The interlock box (see attachment 1) has

1x 24V dc power input (ac mains transformer)
4x sensor inputs (1x dew point, 1x flow and 2x unused, dummy cable inputs)
4x outputs (1x connected to USB-controlled ac mains relay, 3x unused)

When all sensor inputs are OK, 4x yellow LEDs (corresponding to each of the 4x sensor inputs) are illuminated and visible through the transparent
lid of the interlock box - see attachment 2
The USB-controlled ac mains relay yellow 'water' LED is illuminated if interlock is OK - see attachment 3

DSSD off

FEEs off

Motors out, pin inserted, compressed air closed, power removed from motors box.

Motors and temperature logs are in carme-gsi:logs/G22-200

Next experiment will install new setup attached to gas target. Some baking and vacuum operations required. Everything should stay off for safety until they are done.

Run 101: no target. See ELOG entry by TD.

Run 102: ??

Run 103: ??

Run 104: After experiment time is over, Gleb tests beam lifetime at "high energies". Some data acquired for 30 minutes.

Run 105: Quick pulser walkthrough. People are working near CARME. Positive polarity 1000-9000 amplitude.

  656   Wed Jun 19 12:06:50 2024 CB, OF, SSRun 98/99/100 - higher energy

10:21 June 17

New energy: 1.125 MeV/u

Target in. Run 98 started.

Run 99 overlap check.

Run 100 back to acquisition as run 98.

  655   Wed Jun 19 12:04:02 2024 CB + OF, SSRun 96/97

Run 96 - as run 89, while we wait for beam energy change at higher energies

Run stopped around 08:56 June 17

Run 97 - target out, beam optimisation for higher energies.

  653   Wed Jun 19 12:00:56 2024 CBRun 93/94/95 - background

04:00 17 June

Moved the detectors back to the usual configuration (as per run 89).

Moved target away - background run.

Some issues with run numbers - see attached run name R93, but run 94 is written. See attached. 93 and 95 contain data. 94 does *not* exist.

No obvious differences wrt. target run, except Rutherford.
