Pulser walkthroughs R2 & R3 should be ignored as + polarity test input
had significantly lower amplitude (x2 oor more) than - polarity test input.
The + polarity test input is derived from tee'd output from BNC PB-4 and
EG&G Ortec 433 Sum & Invert - physically moving the cabling and connectors
between these two points changed tail pulse amplitude or produced a transient
(non-tail) pulse with duration ~ 100ns. Not clear which cable or connector
is the issue (all cables and connectors were individually replaced) but output
amplitude currently correct so will proceed.

It should be straightforward to separate the alpha background from this data using the change in LEC rates
and the light particle data will also provide a good check of the calibration.

Please could you define this 'crash' to allow a better understanding of problems with the system.
For example.... what is unresponsive.... does a parse of the FEE64 log files ( before doing anything ) reveal a panic that is new? Does a STOP of the Tape work ? Does a Toggle of the MERGE pause state
work ?
Thus it will be possible to say that ..... FEE # is always the one responsible for DAQ failure or by < ???? > or the MERGE has found < ??? > problem.
Thanks in advance ;-)))
