Measurement of BRIKEN neutron counter efficiency
252Cf source in the (approximately) center
Wasabi and D4 clover inserted. G7 on the floor.
YSO on the box with light pulser.
The source was plug in a Styrofoam piece at the right height
so that it could be centered longitudinally with the D4 Clover
and transversely with the Wasabi nose.
Possible position difference with previous efficiency
measurements using the cardboard source holder
should not impact the efficiency obtained.

First measurement with 252Cf source to check the calibration.
AIDA was in place so the source was at the right height
but displaced about 10cm from the center.
We use the last configuation file used in July:

We Found that only one tube He006 was slightly shifted and correct it.

Measurement with 252Cf at Z=22.5cm from the moderator border, opposite side from AIDA.
Clovers and Veto detectors are turned off.
Beam is off.

Obs: There is a problem in the online data for this run. DAQ for VME1 do not stored data. This problems seems to
be a crash on the DAQ. I restarted the system and run again the measurement. The display for voltages has lost
connection. The channels on VME1 have been checked, no problems is observed in the waveforms.

Check of calibrations and rates for neutron detectors with Conf File 161107Conf_BrikenFull.xlsx
Measurement 161122_2208_003.root has been used to check the calibrations and counting rates in the BRIKEN
detector. Condition of the measurement:
252Cf at 22.5cm from moderator, opposite sede from AIDA
RESULTS
Calibrations factors:
Calibrations of the neutron detectors are reasonable in the current conditions. A check detector by detector
(see attached file) shows that the full peak for most of the counters is around 764keV. Only 3 counters are
shifted more than 10keV:
He134 741.901
He135 750.312
He140 748.587
The impact on the counting rates would not be serious.
