Please see https://elog.ph.ed.ac.uk/ISOLDE/203 for the E_cm calculations.
Presently, we are scheduled for 9 days:
Wed Oct 4 18:57:16 2017, dk, Digitized run notes from tests at CERN
Transcription of paper logbook for runs. Please check as I cannot read all the writing.

Thu Oct 25 13:25:16 2018, KG, Current gas cell status
(Wrapped up)
Cell b : 15um Al exit, 12.5um Al entrance. L/R ~0.4Torr/hr overnight (in vacuum)
Mon Nov 5 13:52:46 2018, CBH, CoM energies for 44Ti(alpha,p) reaction for different entrance windows and beam energies
Assuming 200 Torr helium target., elastic and reaction peaks do not have signifcant overlap unless stated:
3um Ti, 1.88 MeV/u beam: Ecm=4.27-4.58 MeV
3um Ti, 2.2 MeV/u beam: Ecm=5.50-5.80 MeV |
Sun Nov 5 20:25:10 2017, Ruchi, Circuit diagram and cable mapping
Sat Nov 11 07:45:34 2017, Claudia, Checking Laser quality
There is an option to see when the beam is gone if it is due to lasers or due to the accelerator.
- window next to proton requestion switch
- put middle faraday cup in |
Wed Nov 8 23:46:32 2017, Daid, Charge State Distributions
Faraday cup readout at the end of our chamber should change based on whether or not the target is in and also the 59Cu beam energy.
The effect could be as much as 10 to 20%. At some point, we should check the Faraday cup reading with the CH2 target and with the empty target. |

From Ruchi's friend Rob. |
Fri Nov 10 14:48:22 2017, TD, Calibration 18x
ADC offsets calculated using data files R42-r47
Fri Nov 10 08:31:06 2017, TD, CAEN V767 TDC trigger/channel 0 logic change
Approximately 5-10% of events overnight were 'bad' i.e. missing TDC data
Checked the CAEN V767 trigger/channel 0 logic (without beam) this morning
Thu Nov 9 17:01:49 2017, TD, CAEN V560 Scalers added to datastream
CAEN V560 Scaler channels #0-7 have been added to the EbyE datastream by adding
per event readout of defined VME registers identified as group 31, items 0-15
Tue Nov 20 14:07:37 2018, dk, Blue Loan Book Scan
Scan is attached, including all items denoted in the loan book as being taken to ISOLDE.
This will be useful for a complete compilation of our inventory. |
Wed Nov 8 22:21:35 2017, Ruchi, Beam transmission
By the end of beam tuning (around 6pm), beam transmission between Faraday cups at the end of SEC and at end of Edinburgh chamber:
~100% through 10mm collimator (empty target frame)
> 50% thought 3mm collimator |
