say by a factor of 2. Calibration is probably wrong!?

New calibration of F11 plastic

We decided to have both a low gain and a high gain
for F11 plastic dividing the signal from the TFA
with a "T" and using in one branch a 20db attenuator (reduction by 10)
and sending to two different DACQ channels.
The gain of the TFA was also reduced to x2

The last version of Briken tools repository has ben installed at d05, this repository includes the Merger and the BrikenOffline codes, as well as a CommonTools folder to share scripts and code.

For update versions, just type in the desired directory "svn update".

  207   Wed Mar 29 03:02:02 2017 J. AgramuntSynchronization test procedure (update)
To Launch the processes:

Open 4 terminals:

Terminal 1 (DataSink) type:

>ssh aida@d05

>cd /home/aida/DataPackage/DataSink/Linux64

>DataSink -i 3

Terminal 2 (SynCheck) type:

>ssh aida@d05

>cd /home/aida/SyncCheck

>./SynCheck

Terminal 3 (BigRIPS Data Relay) type:

>ssh aida@d05

>cd /home/aida/ribfts/ribftssender

>./ribftssender_mar17ca debug

(specific for current 40Ca parasitic run because we are not sending
a pulse signal to BigRIPS as trigger but receiving triggers from
BigRIPS to create the pulses)

Terminal 4 (AIDA Data Relay) type:

>npg@aidas1
>DataRelayFilter -n 10.32.0.12 -p 10307 -I 2

"-I 2" selects ID 2 as the one for the AIDA data stream,
which must correspond to the one expected by the DataSink in the d05 PC.
The programming transmitting the data from AIDA to the DataSink includes an
intermediate filtering step. This selects only correlation scalers from one
module (and possibly ADC values from one channel in that module).

Gasific MainWindow (Briken Data Relay):

   In the DAQ Control tab: Click "Start Sync Monitoring" button.

   In the pop up window set server ip and port (ip:10.32.0.12, port:10305)

By default this perform a check on the differences RIBF-BRIKEN and AIDA-BRIKEN.

In case that BRIKEN is not running, the option "SynCheck -M 1" check the differences
AIDA-RIBF and BRIKEN-RIBF, while "SynCheck -M 2" checks RIBF-AIDA and BRIKEN-AIDA

To synchronize:

   In the Gasific MainWindow, DAQ Control tab: Click "Send Sync Pulse" button
  206   Tue Mar 28 17:02:19 2017 DKApplying Biases
Today, Gabor and I discussed with Nathan from ORNL about the biasing system used for Ge, 3He, Plastic, and others. Phong is also a bit familiar with the system (edit also
Shintaro
Go).  While there
is supposed to be a manual, Gabor and I did not find it.
In case of trouble: contact Nathan Brewer Gmail: Brewer.nathant@gmail.com Skype: nathan.t.brewer

Log in to high voltage PC:

$ ssh -Y pixie16@10.32.6.161
passwd: ************

For HV readout, run firefox in the background

$ firefox &

You can probably check the history or restore pages, but it should be pointed
at 192.168.13.239

It updates automatically every several seconds. Unless the HV monitor is
running, it may show nothing...

For temperatures:

$ cd ~/DAQ_1/kelvin
$ ./kelvin-read

(there are options to kill all temperatures)

For applying existing HVs (BE CAREFUL!)

$ cd ~/DAQ_1/hv-mpod
$ ./hvmon

If you want to change the voltages (up or down) kill this with Ctrl+C

To alter bias values or change which ones are on, you can edit the file:

$ ~/DAQ_1/include/hvmon.conf

Once the file is saved, restart hvmon.

We are running the above in a GNU screen session, with firefox on one computer. It has a note taped to it. Please don't use this computer for other purposes unless necessary!
Let me note that the PC we log in through has essentially no .screenrc file so you can barely understand you are actually using screen. If you are not very familiar with
screen, better not to touch it. I will put a better .screenrc later (but I also don't want to change the setup now).

All analog signals are seen in the oscilloscope with reasonable behavior

Ramp up all Ge clovers.

D at 3000 V for all

G at 2500 V for all (except G7R is 3000)

Biases are all applied (maybe several minutes earlier)

D4 temp 83.7 K
G7 temp 79.6 K

Now we ramp up 3He and plastics. We keep the Ge on during this time.

D4 83.7 K
G7 79.6 K

Everything looks good!
